Presented by The Annenberg Community Beach House Gallery from January 16 - April 28 2020
To coincide with Santa Monica’s Beach=Culture series, the Annenberg Beach House Art Gallery hosted a new exhibition, Outside Looking In: Untold Stories of People Experiencing Homelessness, co-curated by photographer Jasmine Monet Davis and installation artist Emma Thorne-Christy.
Outside Looking In: Untold Stories of People Experiencing Homelessness is an intimate examination and contemplation of the lives of our neighbors: families, women, children and youth surviving in our city while unhoused or with only temporary shelter. The exhibition features artworks by people with lived experience of homelessness, as well as advocates for home reform. It presents the rarely seen perspectives of those on the outskirts of our housed society, people who are tirelessly struggling to find permanent shelter in LA County, a place we all call home.
